Importance of Marketing

Marketing is not just a normal function to sell the products but it also involves other functions like advertising and price determination.

When you are perfecting your marketing strategy, you need to know how your customers think and what it takes to influence them. Best approach to market your product is to provide some value to the target audience.
Marketing helps in creation of brand which helps in expanding the customer base and earning good reputation.
Build trust with the target audience. Marketing should be customer oriented rather than being product oriented. Cater to the customer and you can win him forever and neglect him and lose him forever.
First try to figure out the need of customer and then come out with the product satisfying that need. Customers should believe that you are an expert who knows every minute detail about the product.
Now comes the competitors. If you want that the customers pay attention to your marketing messages then you need to provide more than your competitors in terms of quality. Your marketing message could not be too loud. Try to be subtle and soft.
Big companies spend huge amount on marketing and sometimes this job is outsourced to marketing consultants who are professionals. This shows the importance of marketing for the growth of an organization so never overlook the marketing and go for it even if you are the only member in the marketing department.
